Dilli In Transit

Apart from the weddings, this was the part of the trip I was most looking forward to. Never thought I would be this excited to be back in Delhi NCR. My time spent there was the nicest among all the days.
This is what I did:
# Got a haricut. At Bella Madonna, Galleria. Loved it.
# Had breakfast by myself at my most favourite place in Gurgaon – Sakley’s Forest Cafe
# Went to my old office. Experienced a strange feeling walking through those doors. Sat at my old desk. Sipped on lemon tea courtesy Shankar Bhaiya. Met a lot of people I had left behind. Exchanges numerous hugs – many heartfelt, some awkward. Ate office lunch with Richa. Felt nostalgia inundate.
# Visited my old client.
# Met Abhishek! And learned of such exciting news 🙂
# Bought my iPhone some new clothes.
# Walked around in Vyaapaar Kendra. Basked in the winter sun.
# Stumbled upon a sale in Revlon. Overdosed on ColourStay Kohl.
# Mixed up some Vodka – Cranberry and said my final goodbyes to House Number 2683.
# Splashed puddles in the chance rain! (A special thanks to the rains while I was there. Thunder, lightning, storm clouds – I saw them all!)
# Ate paani puri.
# Was stuck at the Gurgaon toll in traffic for over an hour.
# Got into the metro and went to Rohini for the first time in my life.
My time there was strangely peaceful. Although  I spent a lot of time on my own – I enjoyed it thoroughly. I guess I can now confess that I have a bit of a fling going with Delhi. Something that has matured over the past few years. I can’t wait to get back.
