Day 4# “Quote, Unquote”

Today is about quotes.

As long as I remember, I’ve collected them. In my mind, in the secret diary, pasted on the walls of my closet and most recently, pinning them one of my most favourite boards on Pinterest.

Tough job having to pick three of the so many that I love. But here are my top picks:

“And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it.” – Roald Dahl

This one had to be picked because I truly believe in it. And by magic, I don’t necessarily mean a wizard with a pointy hat. But that won’t ever stop me reading about knights, dragons and isles made of emeralds. After all, if we never keep an eye out, we might never find.

“Experience is a brutal teacher, but you learn. My God, do you learn.” – C.S.Lewis

We’ve all experienced this. The falling, getting up, dusting ourselves and having to pull ourselves back together – and nothing makes us stronger than our own mistakes.

“It is our choices that show who we truly are; far more than our abilities.” – Albus Dumbledore
Like I have said many times before, those who think of the Harry Potter series as a fantasy tale where spells are muttered and brooms are ridden, couldn’t be farther away from the truth. There are things that the books and its characters have taught me – etching them deep in my heart and mind. Like this quote by the wisest fictional headmaster that ever lived – Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore.
