6 | 12: Twelve Random Entertaining Things I Did

Know those little moments which seem like so much fun while you’re in the swing. For a while, you think of them, talk about them, and with time, they vanish from your memory. Then another day, years later a random picture, a conversation or a little post-it in your diary remind you of them. These are mine, from 2012: Got together with the girls for Ladies Night at Cafe Morrison. … Continue reading “6 | 12: Twelve Random Entertaining Things I Did”

Not Just Jazz By The Bay

When the heart’s feeling heavy. When the sky is a hint of endless blue. When you can feel the warm October sun on your skin. When you’re having a conversation with the almost empty wine glass and that last cigarette. When you walk through a glade and see names carved in trees. When your heart flutters to the phone ringing. When you dream of meadows. That’s when you will hum … Continue reading “Not Just Jazz By The Bay”

Everything Is Not Quite Enough

I want to drive myself to work. I want the car to have a stereo where I can play my junk music. I want to fit into regular people’s clothes. I want to live in London, for a while. I want to record a song. Something classical-based. I want to learn to ride a bicycle. I want it to rain for at least six months a year. I want to learn to … Continue reading “Everything Is Not Quite Enough”

Crazy Little Thing

They call it a crazy little thing called love for a reason. Sometimes it waltzes into your life. Other times you are probably looking for it for eons. Some love is here to stay. Others are momentary like a shooting star. There is the love that you can sing to the world about. And there is the one you would smile to yourself to. Love that is unshakable. Love that breaks … Continue reading “Crazy Little Thing”

Bored.com

I’m terribly bored. I have no work. I will not ask for more. This weekend will not be fun. I don’t know where all the money has gone. So I invaded Richa’s blog to find another of the tag posts and at least this will help me spend half an hour of this very long Friday. 1. Where is your cell phone? On my deks :p2. Your significant other? There … Continue reading “Bored.com”

Anaesthesia

The past month has been such a blur. Time flies past. Weeks pass before I know it. There is an overwhelming feeling of nothingness. Of confusion and numbness. It feels like I’ve been injected with a state of unconsciousness and loss of protective reflexes. I cannnot make myself be interested in anything. Something big is around the corner, I can sense it.

No such thing

Whatever makes us think that there is possibly any such place where there is no gray. Although we attempt to increasingly live in colour, what we tend to forget is that the blacks and whites come together quite often to help us remember what reality is. There is no such person that will never let you down. No such thing that you will never tire of. No such place where … Continue reading “No such thing”

Do you concur?

In a multitude of situations I find myself bewildered by the subject of intellect. Sometimes combined with intelligence and plain taste. On innumerable instances I’m duped by my own inability to judge and refrain from keeping the company of those who clearly do not deserve it. Not to say that they are less intelligent or of a lower intellect – my opinion is just that they are on a different … Continue reading “Do you concur?”

September of Surprises

The month has been the highlight of the year in ways more than one – just got me thinking on how many surprises it was holding. Personally, I’m not very partial to surprises; Although I enjoy creating the environment for people who enjoy them but for myself, best they’re kept away. Guess this is one of the attributes which contributes towards making me the abominable bore that I can sometimes … Continue reading “September of Surprises”

Atlantis

Over the past two weekends, I have taken to quarantining myself to the house and doing absolutely nothing. A huge portion of the activity is attributed to the overbearing summers which are simply not in the mood to go away. Hence the Saturdays and the Sundays are spent in the confines of the single air conditioned room reading, catching up on sleep or watching movies/series on the laptop (Since the … Continue reading “Atlantis”
