Treasure

Small joys don’t get better than mid-week holidays. To be able to sleep in on a weekday  To take a leisurely bath and let my hair dry in the Sun, and not with the angry blow dryer To spend the afternoon not chained to the cubicle I forgot to turn off the alarm last night, and I was woken up at 7 am as usual. In the midst of squinting at the sunshine that flows into my room and realising that my phone had switched off, I got thinking.  About things that had happened in the past two weeks, and what lay ahead.  Won’t you agree that life brings us…

Day 19# Blogroll

Ever since I was introduced to the world of blogging, I discovered a whole new world. Of people. Their experiences. Of the way people wrote. A look into what they were made of.  The reading list on Blogger.com has been increasing and being a part of these blogs has almost become a routine to me. I wouldn’t know what to do, if these people stopped writing.  These are my top five, as of today – in no particular order: # Fuchsia – for being an inspiration and a constant pillar of strength.  # Nuts and Bonkers – which has in recent times, sprung to action and keeps me updated with the life of…

From the original version, I have come across a variety of adaptations such as ‘Keep Calm & Do Some Cardio’, ‘Keep Calm & Fake a British Accent’, ‘Keep Calm & Conjure a Patronus Charm’ to the absolutely eccentric ‘Keep Calm & Be A Marwari’ ! All my time in London, I saw impressions of the message everywhere – in the Underground, Souvenir shops, T-shirts and Teacups. Made me all the more inquisitive to understand where this had originated. Only yesterday, I actually found out and what a brilliant story it was: Essentially, “Keep Calm and Carry…

I resolve to!

Twelve days past the beginning of the year, and I guess the resolutions post should not be delayed further. However, this year’s resolutions are more of a must-achieve than the usual wish list. So here goes: 1. Learn to Drive Mobility has been a bitch. I haven’t been able to meet so many people who I wanted to, and the others who I have managed to meet, have been thanks to their consistent efforts to pick me up and drop me back home. It feels really horrible, this depending on people to transport me around. Delhi’s such a wonderful place to look around, and I saw the Rashtrapati Bhavan only…
